Study on the Technology of 4G and 5G Fusion Networking and Interworking

[Abstract] The technical of 4G/5G fusion networking and interworking is one of the most important issues that the network operator need to consider about. This article analyzes the 4G/5G interworking architecture, the principle of network element fusion deployment, and specific interworking procedure between 4G and 5G under single-registration mode/dual-registration mode and with/without N26 interface according to the specification of 3GPP release 15, to supply references to the network operators for network evolution and deployment.
